Release of Student Results
As a service to cardiovascular technology educational programs, CCI will, upon request, release a student/graduate's examination results to their program director.
In order for CCI to release student results, the applicant/candidate must give permission to CCI in one of two ways:
- At the time of application, applicants can authorize the release of their results by checking the authorization box found under the Educational Background section of the CCI Examination Application and providing the required information.
OR
- After application submission a candidate can authorize the release of their results by providing a signed authorization that includes the required information. The signed authorization must include the name of the school and program director’s name and mailing address. Requests must be made in writing and results will be sent via mail. Results will not be given over the phone.
For individuals who granted permission on their initial application, educators can expect to receive results within the same time frame as the official results (15 to 20 business days after testing) are sent.
Results letters will not include the score, but will include pass/fail plus the score percentage with the content categories.
CCI Cardiovascular Educators’ Forum
The CCI Board of Trustees has been allocating funds to give back to the cardiovascular education community as part of its strategic plan since 2012. These funds are used to host the annual Cardiovascular Educators’ Forum each Spring. Educators from invasive cardiovascular technology, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and electrophysiology programs from across the United States and Canada are invited to participate, through an application process, at a minimal cost with travel, conference meals, and one night hotel costs covered. The 2012 to 2017 Forums were held in Las Vegas, Nevada with attendees numbering from 35 to 90 over the years. In 2018 the Forum moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Forum was cancelled. The forum will return in 2021 with a virtual conference being held April 30 to May 1. Details regarding the virtual presentation of the Forum will be available early 2021.

CCI’s Educators Luncheon at the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Annual Conference
Cardiac and Vascular Sonography Educators and Clinical Coordinators are invited to join Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for a free Lunch & Learn during the SDMS Annual Conference each year during the Educators' Track pre-conference session on Thursday. Registration and topic information is available on the SDMS Conference app each year.
Since 2011, CCI has been offered the opportunity to host a luncheon at the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Annual Conference. At the 2012 SDMS Annual Conference in Seattle we hosted a complimentary luncheon for thirty educators and gave them an overview of CCI, its history, and a recap of the Educators’ Forum. Again at the 2013 SDMS Annual Conference we hosted over 60 cardiac and vascular sonography educators for lunch and discussed CCI’s new examinations under development and also our international growth and focus. In 2014 over 50 educators attended and the presentation focused on examinations under the pilot phase and also CCI’s Ethics and Appeals process. In 2015 CCI led round table discussions on several topics with the attendees such as innovative items on examinations, credential choice and recognition, and accreditation. At the 2016 luncheon, for the first time, an external (to CCI) expert was brought in to discuss reasonable accommodations and how it relates to education. Dr. Deborah Larew Director, Office for Students with Disabilities at Valencia College gave a fantastic presentation to attendees which is available below. The 2017 luncheon presentation was on Advanced Practice by Joy Guthrie, PhD, ACS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, FSDMS, FASE who is DMS and ACS Program Director/Professor at Community Regional Medical Center. In 2018 we held a panel discussion from Santa Fe College Program Director, Sharon Whitcraft, RVS, and her clinical coordinators on how to work with clinical sites. The 2019 presentation speaker was Asha Glenn, RVT, Sentara College of Health Sciences, Program Coordinator & Assistant Professor for Non-invasive Vascular Studies. She shared information about Instructional Design for Hybrid Learning.
These luncheons have reinforced CCI’s connection to educators in a face-to-face setting and strengthen the professional triad.
